The 1st European Congress on CSR Communication shall take place in Madrid, at the premises of the Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI) business school, from the 5th to the 7th of October, 2011.

The congress goals are:

a) To gather experts and top executives in CSR Communication from around the EU-27 and provide ground for their exchange of views and best practices.
b) To strengthen co-operation among PR & Communication directors and experts, and making this a permanent forum in the particular field of Corporate Responsibility.
c) To stress the need for a sound CSR policy in corporations, and the vital importance of its connection with Corporate PR & Communication.

The three Working Groups will deal with:

• External Communication of CSR, including media relations, lobbying & advocacy, public affairs and other externas stakeholders and publics.
• Internal Communication of CSR, including employee relations, corporate volunteership porgrams, shareholders and other internal stakeholders and publics.
• Digital Communication of CSR, including the blogsphere, social networks, microblogging platforms, etcetera.

Dircom, Spain’s Association of Communication Directors, is the host of this congress, which takes place under the auspices of the CSR promotion authority in the Spanish Government’s Ministry of Labour. You’ll find further information here.
